New song ‘VOICES OF HEART’ calls for one and all to use their voice to inspire change.

Voices of Heart is a song written and performed by Melbourne musicians Robbie Bundle (The Black Arm Band) and Sherry Rich (Grievous Angels, The Grapes)
It has sprung from the hearts of the musical duo calling out for one and all to use their voice to encourage change and reconciliation. “It’s very important to us this song is heard far and wide leading up to the Voice referendum.”

Robbie Bundle and Sherry Rich are country rock singer songwriters who first crossed paths when their bands Black Foot and The Grievous Angels played regional gigs together in the 90s. Robbie, now CEO of Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation and Sherry, working for Victoria University Music, reunited in 2022 to collaborate on a series of music events celebrating the diversity of First Nations and student musicians in Melbourne’s west.

Sherry said “I suggested Robbie play some of his songs at one of the gigs” and he replied “Yeah, if you do it with me.” This turned into a songwriting session where ‘Voices of Heart’ came to life very naturally. “It was one of those special creative moments where it all happened so easily, we knew we had something really authentic and powerful.”

Recorded at Kindred studios and mixed by Shane O'Mara at Yikesville studios in Yarraville with a band of Australia's finest roots rock musos - Ash Davies, Rick Plant, Garrett Costigan and Mark Ferrie.

Robert 'Robbie' Bundle is the CEO of Songlines, Victoria’s peak Aboriginal music body formed in 1994 by Aboriginal musicians and community leaders. He is also a singer-songwriter and musician who has been writing and performing music for more than 35 years. Robbie was in The Black Arm band and has performed and collaborated with Kutcha Edwards, Shane Howard, Archie Roach, Dan Sultan and many more.

Sherry Rich is an Aria nominated singer-songwriter who has released 13 albums, worked as a professional songwriter in Nashville and toured the US and Australia.
